  • Well doing my usual image enhancements (equalization, inverts, etc) I can eliminate a light source coming in from behind the tree. Whatever it is is obstructing a tree limb so it is a foreground object in relation to the tree and not a background object such as one would expect with a distant light source.

It's not likely to be a reflective object on the tree branch that it's obscuring since the center of the "blob" is not centered on the branch.

I have to eliminate a false positive from a snowflake as you have many in the foreground and they are acting as I expect them to be. Reflecting bright white.

I can honestly say this is one of the images that I'd keep as a definite anomaly. It's too difficult to ascribe a mundane explanation to it to just dismiss.

So now I have to get into the nitty gritty of it. Why did you take that image? What were you feeling in the area that made you take that shot? Did you have the feeling that something was in the area?

More information please. This is a very interesting image.

  • Oh right! I see it! Did you go out there is check it out? I would.

  • it is small but it is possible to see on the right
