I have a large plant with long leaves in my living room. All of a sudden, one of the leaves begins to bounce up and down. Only one! The air conditioning wasn't on, and it is the only thing I could rationally contribute to making the leaf move. I wasn't afraid or had any strange feelings. I was definitely started, but mostly I felt something/someone was wanting my attention.

Strange but quiet eliminates malevolent entities/spirits. Since it seems to be centered in the tree and there are a lot of plants in the area and if this is a infrequently visited area...Fey is a possibility. If it's a cemetery or at least a family grave plot, then it could be simply a spirit that is unwilling/unable to cross over.

That depends on the "feel" of the area. If the area felt "wrong" then I might say demon or other malevolent entity. But without a negative feeling to the area one might suggest passing spirit (this looks like it could be part of a cemetery with the low fencing) or even a glimpse of Fey.
